Sydney Mitton

Training and Company Instructor, Special Needs Consultant

Sydney Mitton is an experienced dancer and performer.

As a dancer, Sydney started out her performance experience with Ballet Jorgen performing in the Youth Cast( three years) of the Nutcracker. From there, Sydney went on to perform in Sleeping Beauty (Ballet Jorgen), Aladdin: The Panto (Drayton Entertainment), Performances in honour of Karen Kain and Frank Augustyn, JDRF Canada, Arcady’s Ruth and much more!

Sydney holds the highest of honours completing all of her Royal Academy Of Dancing’s exams up to and including Advanced 2.

Outside of performing, Sydney is a candidate for degree in honours Therapeutic Recreation at the University Of Waterloo. Where her primary focus is on utilizing recreation-based activities, such as dance, as a therapeutic intervention, which addresses the needs of individuals with various illnesses, diagnoses, and disabilities. Sydney has knowledge, training and experience on how to facilitate programming for children with disabilities. She is also an active member of Therapeutic Recreation Ontario which provides her with the most up to date training in this field. Sydney can’t wait to spread the joy of dance with every dancer she meets!
