Jazz
An ever evolving dance form that includes a wide variety of styles including Jazz Funk, Theatre Jazz and Street Dance. Jazz has a strong technical element and builds endurance, coordination and confidence.
Acro
Focusing on concentration, balance, flexibility and control. Proper technique and hard earned goals will be accomplished over time. Basic skills such as somersaults, cartwheels and handstands will be mastered before moving onto bigger movements such as tumbling, aerials and partner work.
Hip Hop
A stylized technique used in music videos, concerts and your favourite dance trends. Dancers will learn fresh combinations and movement performed to the latest music. Hip Hop is great to increase a dancers personal style.
Ballet/Pre Pointe/Pointe
Focusing on posture, body placement, and technical strength. A strong Ballet foundation prepares dancers to have an understanding of proper technical elements required to perform intelligently and reduce injury.
Tap
A rhythmic style of dance that is offered in a fun and energetic setting. Dancers will learn and increase their musicality, coordination and understanding of rhythm. Train in different styles such as Classic, Broadway and Modern Tap.
Contemporary
This style combines jazz, ballet, modern and components of hip hop. Dancers will learn new and innovative combinations and choreography, utilizing a wide range of music styles. Improvisational movement will be explored giving dancers a chance to tell a story through movement.
Lyrical
A fusion of jazz and ballet with a focus on musical expression and the lyrics of the music. This style has a strong technical element but is also highly focused on storytelling through the movement and facial expressions.
Musical Theatre
Enhance your dancers versatility with the opportunity to sing and act along with their dancing. Students will learn to sing in a group, listen, blend voices and control their sound. Vocal and acting technique is learned through proper warmups and acting games.
